The IDIS Association has been integrated into DLMS UA, a globally recognized standard for interoperable and secure data exchange in IoT and strategic energy management. This strategic alignment capitalizes on their shared commitment to open standards and interoperability, particularly in energy and water management.
All former IDIS Association activities transitioned into the Smart Metering Working Group (SMWG). In addition to maintaining support for legacy IDIS packages, the SMWG has embarked on new initiates, focusing on multi-utility heat, water, and gas Smart Metering Generic Companion Profiles, accompanied by a comprehensive Interoperability and Compatibility Testing service.

What's happening between IDIS and DLMS?The IDIS Association has been integrated into DLMS User Association since November 2021. All former IDIS Association activities have transitioned into the DLMS UA Smart Metering Working Group (SMWG). In addition to maintaining support for legacy IDIS packages, the SMWG has embarked on new initiates, focusing on multi-utility heat, water, and gas Smart Metering Generic Companion Profiles, accompanied by a comprehensive Interoperability and Compatibility Testing service. The DLMS UA will continue to deliver world-leading specifications and certification programs guaranteeing the highest level of compatibility and serve as the Go-To standard and certification platform for data exchange in IoT and strategic energy and water management.
